SUMMARY:Erasmus MC Rare Disease Research Symposium
DESCRIPTION:On June 5th\, 2025\, we will host the second edition of the Erasmus MC Rare Disease Research Symposium! \nThis symposium is a unique opportunity for researchers\, clinicians\, and PhD students to come together\, share insights\, and foster collaborations in the field of rare diseases. The slogan of our symposium is ‘To Inspire\, To Interact\, To Innovate’. We believe that these three pillars are crucial in driving advancements in rare disease research. \nThis symposium focusses on two themes: from bench… to bedside. The morning programme will contain a key lecture\, pitches and several break-out sessions about ‘from bench‘ where more fundamental research will be presented. In the afternoon\, the emphasis will shift to translational and clinical research\, as we call ‘to bedside‘ during this symposium. \nSpeakers Keylectures \nThe morning programme from bench is focused on fundamental research. Prof. dr. Joost Gribnau\, head department Developmental Biology\, will give a keynote lecture.\nThe afternoon programme to bedside focusses on more translational and clinical research. Prof. dr. Bettina Hansen\, Professor of Clinical Biostatistics\, will provide a key lecture.
