Working Together on Appropriate Care with Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs)
\n<\/b>On Thursday, March 20, 2025, the Dutch Health Outcomes Observatory (H2O-NL) will organize a symposium around an urgent theme: the future of healthcare.
\nThe healthcare sector is facing unprecedented challenges. How do we ensure quality and efficiency in a complex environment with increasing patient numbers and limited resources?<\/p>\n

Appropriate Care<\/b> is the answer – care that aligns with what really matters to patients. A powerful tool in this is the use of Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs)<\/b>: insights directly from patients about their perceived health and well-being. PROs stimulate shared decision-making, strengthen patients’ self-direction and contribute to more efficient healthcare delivery.
\nThe H2O platform facilitates this movement by providing healthcare providers and patients with insight into healthcare outcomes, including PROs. Together we are working towards a future where care is truly appropriate.
\nHealth Outcomes Observatory (H2O) is a European public-private partnership building an ecosystem for outcomes, including PROs, in Europe. Standardization and uniform registration are the key to optimal use of data to achieve Appropriate Care. H2O also offers patients insight into their own data and the opportunity to compare with data from other patients in Europe.
\nSuccessful observatories have now been set up in Austria, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands with a focus on cancer, diabetes and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
\nH2O Netherlands is organizing a symposium on Thursday, March 20, 2025. There, inspiring speakers will talk about practical examples including implementation, about primary and secondary data use and data infrastructures, European developments now and in the future.<\/p>\n
